UNHOLY INQUISITION (Cro) - Depraved god`s creation , cd 2004

Unholy Inquisition are one of the strongest Croatian Death Metal acts,and they showed it with this cd.They are one of the many bands from Rijeka mentioned in the Gorthaur`s Wrath post,and of course,there is one man behind all that,a guy under a nick Insanus (mostly drummer).This is their third creation,a cd where they move their Black Metal style towards a more Death Metal orientation.Enjoy this one,you extremity lovers.

GENERACIJA 5 (Ser) - Generacija 5 , lp 1980

Here we go back to the very beginning of the 80s and the explosion of Hard Rock and Metal bands in the ex-Yugoslavia.Generacija 5 were a very good Hard Rock band from Serbia,leaded by Sladjana Milosevic`s younger brother Goran.The recording of this (their debut) album is very good,and their melodic Hard Rock sounds cool.They never became popular as A.Skloniste or R.Corba or D.Jagode were,but still left a strong trace in the story of Rock in the ex-Yu.

I found this demo in a drawer,so I told myself Maybe somebody searches for this one..man,it is not my cup of tea..some Doom Metal,but for my opinion,played (or produced?) very weak,miles away from the strenght of ie.Ashes You Leave.But,anyway,for the ones collecting Metal bands from the ex-Yugoslavia territory,this one is something you must have.

You know I love finnish mid 80s HC in an extreme way,I even had a band with total influence by them..well,Mellakka were a band who were among the bands that "know to play".I know it sounds ridicolous,but yeah,they knew to play.And they did it very well!These are three tracks of Thrashing HC,in a-let`s say-Mob 47 way (but not that fast).Anyway,a nice piece of work.This demo can be found on their 1984-1986 compilation cd.

...and as support to this previous post,here is an excellent soundboard rare recording of Popeye in action,this is a recording I got from my brother Chriss,who at the time played the percussions in the band (on the pic on your extreme left).No one knows the exact anything about this tape,so take the year of recording as more or less,as it could possibly be 2002,or even 2004.But August is surely,and I am quite sure it is Vodnjan too.I miss just one song title,which I might change through time,as soon as I receive the exact title from somebody from the band.
Anyway,a perfect recording of a very,very good band.Here they are more Metal than on the studio recordings,soooo....

This cd is a beautiful collection of a single,2 tracks and an album of,with Discharge,my favourite Punk band of all the times.It contains the Police Story single from 1981 (tx 1-2),the album Partisans from 1983 (tx 3-14) and 2 extra tracks (tx 15-16).No wonder I covered them with my band AntiTodor I Talenti.Those were the days...Highly recommended!!

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Jednom u zivotu , live lp 1984

I decided I will post the complete YU part of the AS discography,and until now I went by year of release,but now I skipped 2 albums and passed to the next and unfortunately last live album AS ever did with Djoser,the vocalist,on this album now visibly approaching his last months of life.I remember the news about Djoser from the Ljubljana Hospital I had from the band directly when I was a kid,and I remember his situation prior to this concert recorded on this album..Well..This album is one of the best live albums recorded in Yugoslavia.Hard Rock with balls.And this is posted for Darko by his request.Enjoy.

PS;the video here is a video from the post-Djoser era,with Bruno on vocals and bass,and a brand new line-up with Ranko on guitar and Nick on drums.

Aaaaarrrrghhh!!This single killlllssss!I don`t even remember when I got it,but surely it is a nice piece of vinyl.The material you got here is a vinyl rip,done not extremely well,but I am not that sure if you can get a much better sound in any way.DM kills with their downtuned sound.And their creeping Death Metal.I adore this one.

I am sorry I don`t have a scanner bigger than A4 format to scan the album cover (the same,just that it would be more detailed).I remember when this album was released,there was a ban in both UK and Yugoslavia,here because of the cover showing a card of the region around Zagreb burning-the album was recorded live at the Mosa Pijade hall in Zagreb the 24th April 1983- and in UK for lyrics in the songs Streets Of London and So What,which on the record edition have several beeps during the song!!Can you believe it??Here you have the clean,uncensored version.I will never forget playing with my band Talenti as support to them in Pula in 1997,here`s the flyer for that show;and a pic of ANWL live;Enjoy this one,this is a great album.A weird production,but a great album.And a great document of a deceased country.

This is a mass request,we already had a demo here,as well as the new track Zmanjana Dica.This is their first album,released in Croatia and a rarity nowadays.The band themselves hates this album,because they wanted a more heavier production,and the producer Guido Mineo nearly ruined it all.Still,this is a very very good album,clearly balanced between a nu-metal sound and a modern no-drum-machine played hip-hop.The band showed,with the new track that their album will be a LOT heavier and Metal oriented,so we just have to wait to it.

Sorry for the pics,this were the biggest I found this very moment,maybe I`ll scan some pics later.
Well,this guy is Rajko Kojic,the first guitarist of Riblja Corba,he was the first member who left the best unrepeatable line-up of the band.This mini-lp (well,it was a maxi-single..) brings four tracks he made on his own,but there you go;on the vocals he got Bora Djordjevic (lead-vocal in Riblja Corba) so basically is like you`re listening to the same band.This is a rare one,for collectors.

I do not have any info about the band, but this is very good stuff.The band that hailed from Pozega recorded few demos, the last in 1997, and then split-up.I got this live recording from my friend Mika, and I thank him a lot, this is great material and sure something to witness if not the most quantitative, then the surely most qualitative period of Croatian Metal.6 tracks in all, no track list, sorry.

Finally,something from the Croatian one-man-band legend Gruuthaagy,made by one of the most active person in the Cro-underground,Kukatz.Gruuthaagy is part of numerous split-ep`s,compilations,but also made a big lot of self releases.I hope that Kukatz don`t mind if I put this ep here,even if I don`t know what year it was made.
I like this ep,because it is very intense,it is a mixture I would call cybernoise,but I really don`t know the exact kind of music it represents,so I invite you to discover Gruuthagy,you might be surprised.Recommended.

On this release,DS were (for my opinion) at the top of their power.If you are into true oldshool Thrash,well,this is IT.

PANDEMONIUM (Hol) - Who the fuck are you , single EP 1983

This is the first single EP of this very young,but very noisy Dutch HC band,I told the most about them at the album post (go back for it),and so I won`t tell nothing special,except that the band were in the beginning of the noise-making on this EP,so I can tell that this one sounds to me most "Punk-ish" of all their stuff,even this "Punk-ish" is very,very in traces.The noise rules with Pandemonium.Recommended.

EXTREME NOISE TERROR - Punker than Punk , EP

You know what kind of stuff ENT do..there is no surprise about it,if a band is good in their own stuff,they have to be good even in covers.ENT picked up 6 tracks here and covered it very well,I am especially glad that 3 out of 6 are Discharge covers,hehe..so this is a very nice release that steps a little aside from the usual ENT releases,and anyway,if you like covers,this one is a must have.
PS;There is no place on earth (read;internet),where I could find the year of release,so if you know anything about,please let me know.Thanx.

dawn.Well,the material here is pure powerful Heavy Metal,recorded very well.A very nice and Metallic album,for all those fans of pure and strong Heavy Metal!!Recommended!

I think Chuck`s death was the most shocking death in the world of Metal after the Cliff Burton`s one..the tribute Chuck made to Metal is immense,it is unmeasurable,and I won`t spend a lot of words about it.Instead,as the anniversary of Chuck`s death is coming (December 13th),I am putting here this compilation I made in 2001,just few days after his death,and aired as a special edition of my radio-Metal-show "Scream".This is my tribute to his work,and you will find here tracks from the demos to the last live album. Rest in peace,you genius.

After the first 300...

Well people,this is the 301st post here,so I would like to thank you all once again for visiting this blog,it makes me very satisfied to see over 11000 visits in the last 6 months,with over 3000 downloads..these are big numbers for me,so I promise I will keep up the good work..
I must point out that,anyway,there are some titles in here that were not uploaded,so they vanished from my Rapidshare-list (they say that a file disappear when it is not downloaded for two months),so if you find an inactive link,and want to download the title,please let me know and I will reupload it.
One more thing about these uploads;I have to repeat that official releases are not my favourite kind of stuff here.Those are releases that you can buy anywhere,and you should do so.If any official release is here,is just here for you to pre-listen to it and BUY the original.Also,official releases here are exclusively some of my favourite records,or something you ask for.The bigger part of stuff here is demo and similiar material that may be hard to find,and for every single material I put here,if possible I ask for permission directly from the performers.

HOUSE FORCE 3 - compilation , cd 1994

Now,you will say I went completely out of my mind..well,this CD was something I discovered 13 years ago,and the whole thing dates some 15 yrs ago..I found out this extreme,violent and insane side of Techno/House/whatever music,and must admit that I liked it sooo much..it is sometimes extremer than any Metal or HC,it is claustrophobic because it is closed mostly to one repetitive rhythmic phrase played with distorted synthetic bass drum,as well as distorted synthetic sounds all around (of course,except for the voice here and there,everything is synthetic)..just look at the cover,that`s what can bring you a longer consumation of this kind of music,and the drugs and chemicals that go with it..I dedicate this one to the extremists visiting this blog,if you don`t spare MB`s,try it..you could be surprised.
PS;an anecdote from 1994;when I was DJ in the Pula`s Rock Club Uljanik,I was pretty free in DJ-ing (meaning that I wasn`t strictly a Rock DJ),so here and there a track from this compilation found its place in my repertoire..but one night was pure hell..The guys from the Californian HC band IGNITE (2 of them) finished their Euro tour,and they liked Pula so much that after the end of the tour in Czech,they came back to Pula for few days.They discovered this kind of Techno when they visited Pula,and liked it very much.One day we were drinking together before my DJ evening,I came to the club so drunk that in the middle of the evening there was a block of HC/Gabber Techno of an hour and half,you can imagine what hell was that,but we all really enjoyed it..

SATAN PANONSKI (Cro) - Ljuljajmo ljubljeni ljubicasti ljulj , cass 1989

Satan rules!And if you know me,you know I am not talking about the devil one,but about this one,the 200% sure most charismatic person of the Croatian (and ex-Yugoslav) scene.Ivica Culjak Jr. (aka Kecer 2) was the Croatian version of GG Allin,a guy with some mental disturbances,but a genious in what he did.This cassette surely goes to my top-10 releases in the Balkans of all the times.The rip here is perfect,let me describe you the music in here.Punk Rock without compromises,side A (tracks 1-8)recorded is a studio recording with a band made by a drummer and two distorted basses (btw,one of those two,as far as I know,played by Bare from Majke).The sibe b is recorded in a room with an acoustic guitar and is an insane recording of Ivica`s poetry with an acoustic guitar making noise.Absolutely great.
Ivica Culjak Jr. died on the 27th January 1992 in the Croatian war,under very strange yet unknown circumstances.An enormous loss for the Croatian scene.If you ask me,this tape is a must,at least to share a moment of his geniality/insanity.
