What can be said, this is a blog where I will post some stuff I really like,so I think you should like it too.I am a metalhead to the heart, but I will put here every kind of stuff I like, not only Metal.I hope you will enjoy it,and let me know if there is anything needed, especially from the ex-Yugoslavia territory.
Another Metal band from Pula,as you already noticed,in Metal and HC the strongest Croatian city. This band played a strange mix of Melodic Thrash with influences from Grunge acts like Alice In Chains or Pearl Jam.This tape was officially released by Adam Records,a label which lasted very short and released Pop acts, and this Metal one.The guitarist Vedran came from Hatross, the drummer today is a Jazz drummer and the brothers Sinkauz (bass/guitar) have their own experimental band East Rodeo.
Kriza was a band from Pula, part of the invasion of bands in Pula in the first part of the 90s.They played a very harsh HC-Thrash,and accidentally I left a mark on this demo as a guest, singing almost all the backing vocals. They did only this demo, and few gigs, and then disappeared. This demo is officially released as part of the split tape with Blockade Runner in 1993 (or 4).

This was a band from Pula, active somewhere around 2002, today called Gardenia. They started with doing covers from the eminent Croatian female singer JOSIPA LISAC. They covered here songs from their first LP Dnevnik Jedne Ljubavi, four tracks as studio tracks, and a live version. They did it perfectly good, and even had acknowledgement from Josipa Lisac herself!! Pure Hard Rock versions!
Tracks; 01.Lezaj od suza 02.Ne prepoznajem ga 03.Oluja 04.Po prvi put 05.Po prvi put (live)
Ok,people, finally I bought myself a scanner,so from now on all the existing cover or bands picures will be put on this blog.Of course,I will replace retrogradely all pictures that were put here instead of the cassette covers,so hopefully all tapes and demos will have the original covers.Just give me a little time, because this summer I am incredibly busy,my work takes more than 70% of my day (not counting sleeping, obviously). One more thing;I started receiving requests, which makes me satisfied and I will try to put every request here. There are some things and recordings that will take me a little time to find, convert or whatever;as soon as I can,I will put them here. I see that most of your interest goes to Croatian and ex-YU scene,so I will try to put the more I can, including a lot of old Hard Rock bands, because Yugoslavia had a lot of great Hard Rock bands. Finally. The comments started.Thank you.Write me your opinions, just to make this blog better.
PS;buy CDs.Visit shows and support bands, because they do it all for YOU.
Divlje Jagode were the most popular Heavy Metal band in the ex-Yugoslavia (exactly,Bihac,in Bosnia And Herzegovina),and MOTORI,their third album was the best selling album for that year, and in the top 5 best selling albums ever in Yugoslavia.Divlje Jagode are still playing today,I don`t like them today, but this one is a f++kin rockin classic and a must for sure!!And this upload is a request by my friend under the nickname "Warrel Dane" from Greece.
Tracks; 01.Motori 02.Sampioni 03.Nasmijesi se 04.Zagrizi Rock`n`Roll 05.Sve iz inata 06.Sejla 07.Dodirni me 08.Ne zelis kraj 09.Divlji zapad
What you have here is probably the best compilation ever from the ex-Yugoslavia,even if it contains just three bands. This one is a cult-record and the one that signed the zenith of Yugoslavian New Wave. All bands have a Punkish sound, but every one in his own way. There are also strange moments,as the VIS IDOLI song "Amerika" on which in 8 minutes and 12 seconds there goes repeatedly only one musical phrase and a voice repeating "And I say;Ah,where is America?"..Or one of the most known song of the Yugoslav alternative music, the SARLO AKROBATA ska-punk miniature "Niko kao ja"...Or one of the best Yugoslav Punk songs ever, the ELEKTRICNI ORGAZAM`s "Zlatni papagaj"..The tracklist on the record varies from this one, here the bands are grouped,on the vinyl the songs are in random way.If anyone wishes the right tracklist, just send me a message.Of course, highly recommended!
Tracks; 01.VIS IDOLI - Maljciki 02.VIS IDOLI - Plastika 03.VIS IDOLI - Schwule uber Europa 04.VIS IDOLI - Amerika 05.ELEKTRICNI ORGAZAM - Krokodili dolaze 06.ELEKTRICNI ORGAZAM - Zlatni papagaj 07.ELEKTRICNI ORGAZAM - Vi 08.SARLO AKROBATA - Ona se budi 09.SARLO AKROBATA - Oko moje glave 10.SARLO AKROBATA - Mali covek 11.SARLO AKROBATA - Niko kao ja
I am sorry that I cannot say nothing about this band..Well,almost nothing;I know they were from Rijeka and at least one member was member of the Rijeka`s "Cradle Of Filth" clones CASTRUM.
I got this demo right from that guy,and what we have here is a very nice Melodic Thrash Metal, with three demo songs and three live bonus tracks (of which I don`t know the names). So if you are still searchin for pieces of Croatian Metal history, take this one!
Tracks; 01.Blowin` the dust 02.Jester`s song 03.Void within 04.unknown live track 1 05.unknown live track 2 06 unknown live track 3
This was a giant step forward, for my opinion. The album have a great loud production, and an incredible instrumental execution.Just listen to "The Wehrmacht" and the breaks in it(perfection),and you will get what I mean. When you add to that the humour the guys always had, this is a must along with the Shark Attack one.I wish they`d do a tour again..I`d die for that.
Tracks; 01.You broke my heart (so I broke your face) 02.Gore flix 03.Drink beer,be free 04.The wehrmacht 05.Everb + e + micro e 06.Munchies 07.Night of pain 08.Balance of opinion 09.Suck my dick 10.Drink Jack 11.Radical neck dissection 12.Beer macht 13.Outro
Wehrmacht, the most underrated Thrash Metal band of all the times..I am posting now both of their albums, just for you to realise how genious this band is.This one is their first album, they did just two (and there are too much bands that should have stopped after the first demo!!).This album is the extremest display of Thrashing speed,as well as technicality with instruments. On the internet I found the definition "This album is like Killing Is My Business by Megadeth, only with three times faster drums".Is that enough for you to have this album immediately?
Tracks; 01.Shark attack 02.Blow you away 03.S.O.P. 04.Jabberjaw 05.Barrage of skankers 06.United shoebrothers 07.Puke 08.Part II 09.Go home 10.Anti 11.Napalm shower 12.Crazy ways people die 13.Fretboard gymnastic 14.Termination
Here it is,the second Carnivore album (let`s hope there`s gonna be no more album, not because I don`t like Carnivore-it is the opposite;I don`t want this band`s opus to be ruined with some shit, like for example C.Frost did). This one is more HC oriented than the previous one,and has a metallic HC production.Of course, the brilliant songwriting by P.Steele, and a great line-up (without Keith Alexander R.I.P.),makes this album a very angry display of HC power, but in a Metal way. After this one,the Carnivores become Type O Negatives..
Tracks; 01.Jack Daniels and pizza 02.Angry neurotic catholics 03.Suck my dick 04.Ground zero Brooklyn 05.Race war 06.Inner conflict 07.Jesus Hitler 08.Tecnophobia 09.Manic depression 10.USA for USA 11.Five billion dead 12.Sex and violence
Ooooh, here they are..I am proud to say "my good friends"..and played with them..Ok,this is their first album, one of the strangest Death Metal bands ever, very "psychological" topics, and the titles remind me of the early-Carcass ones, only not about pathology,haha..Well,enjoy this album, until I get the authorisation to put here their show live in Pula 1993!
