Another relatively new Croatian Metal band,with a very good three tracker.Expect a nice Heavy Metal sang in Croatian,and with a good production.The band have also an album in their discography,recorded in 2005.Recommended for those who are collectors of ex-yu Metal and Rock.
Another new and pretty young Croatian Metal band,great (modern) Thrash Metal,I received great reviews of their live performances,and I can only add that this is a very powerful recording,and that this band surely have a bright future..Meanwhile,while we wait the first full cd,enjoy this nice demo!!Recommended!
This is a nice compilations of bands from Pula,exactly bands from the Garage Rock wave/mania/invasion at the end of the 80s.I bet Pula was the city with most garage rock bands in the world at that time.They are all on this cassette made by a HC fan from Rakalj,in the heart of Istria,mr. Geza.Enjoy this piece of Pula`s Rock history!
Terrorizer were a band that played very very fast Metal before it came widely accepted.This was a kind of supergroup,with members of Morbid Angel,Napalm Death and Nausea..If you don`t know who Terrorizer are..what are you waiting for??

This is a nice Ep of a very young band made of 2 girls and a guy.They claim they play Punk Rock,if you ask me I wouldn`t go that far,there is a Punk Rock energy in this stuff,but it is not pure Punk Rock,even if I am gonna classify it as that.Anyway for a band in their years and at the beginning,very good stuff indeed.
This one is a tape I got from Maras (the red guitar in the pic!Well,not the guitar,the player!) in the days of our first contacts,and it consists of a studio side,and a live side containing a superb soundboard live recording.This is a tape that shows Drinking Skull thrashing the best way they did in their carreer.I still hope I will see again Maras,Hrvoje and the gang together on stage.Who knows..
I watched this band last December in their hometown Cakovec on a charity-gig
(I don`t want to make a mistake on it,but I think it was to help the Bakterije`s vocalist in his fight against leukaemia)..you should have seen the chaos during their show..they surely have a lot of fans in their town,but I felt that huge energy coming off the stage..It was a damn good show,and this short three tracker is as exciting as it was their show.If you`re into HC Punk,then you`ll be a fool to miss this one!!
Messerschmitt are a great garage rock band,but rockin very,I mean VERY hard.This is their first album,a rarity and almost unavailable,as the indie label Blind Dog Records disappeared very soon after this album,and there was only one edition pressing of it.So this is a great vinyl rip provided by Florijan.The production is pretty strong,with the vocal a bit low IMO,but just listen to the second song on the album,Haymaker,it reminds me of fast stuff from Motorhead`s Orgasmatron album.But this is not the only fast moment of the album,even most of the rest is some mid-tempo hard rockin.Recommended!

Another great Metal hailing from Italy,I don`t know much about this new band,except that I like this demo,their very new,which is given for free download on the net.As I like to help band and promoting them through this blog,I am acting as an extended hand and helping them spreading their sound.Excellent recording,and excellent EP,with a very powerful cover of Sepultura`s Territory.
Mel is really fast,man..one of my contributors really helps me with some material,and so here are Amen from Pozega,one of the Thrash Metal bands of the second wave,with their demo LSD (yes,as Nuclear Assault`s Live Suffer Die)..well,Amen here slowed down a bit,playing a slow paced Thrash Metal,pretty obscure.Anyway,a pearl of Croatian underground metal.
This is something I owe to a guy here,this one is for Maro.This is the last album from Bruno Langer,bass/vocal and leader of Atomsko Skloniste,this time in its American reincernation.In te 80s Atomsko Skloniste had few tries in the States,all of them through a guy from Pula who actually works in NASA.I will also post the other two albums,but I do this for Maro.This album is just old AS songs rearranged and rewritten in English,I am not fan of this album,but this one is also for all the collectors to complete your AS collection.
Wow,that`s what I call Thrash!Ok,some of you will find it too melodic,but if you ask me,these guys here becomed undoubtely my favourite Serbian band the very moment I heard them for the first time.An excellent album with great songs,high pitched voice and great production.That is what I like.I hope the guys are as good on stage as they are here on this album...Oooops,and here is a video proving that!!
There was already one post about those Serbian thrashers,their highly acclaimed first mini-LP Toxic Death.This is their first full length album,and is pretty much a change from the mini-LP.Here they have a cleaner production,yet strange,and they added keyboards.A step forward anyway.For fans of Technical Death/Thrash Metal.
For fans of Doom Metal,here is the best band in Croatia,pretty much known and succesful outside our borders.This one is a perfect soundboard recording of a gig played in my lovely Pula in the summer 2002.,when I still lived there (I left Pula in October that year).I was not at that gig,but I am very glad that I found this recording on the net.The band is,of course,great and this is a very enjoyable live recording.
All the demos of this band in the first phase (where I played drums) are posted here,as well as few live shows..Now,this is the second album of the reincarnation of this band,after the first line-up fell apart.Now Todor have a band of great young guys with him,and recently my brother Chriss sat by the drums.This album is released in 2004,and is a really fine Punk Rock record,greatly produced and greatly played.I really don`t have to add anything to it,just take this one,if you are a classic Punk fan.
Yeah,this was an incredible combination,the weirdness of Franci Blaskovic and the Punk energy of Croatia`s finest KUD Idijoti.This CD is really a great Punk Rock stuff,and I am putting it here to celebrate Franci as the Istrian musical guru`,which without the slightest problem said literally "FUCK OFF" to the Zlatna Koogla (an organisation which gives awards for musical achievements every year) as they wanted to give him an award for his life achievements in music.This guy simply rules.Enjoy this one.
Woooow,I found this recording on the net,a nice soundboard recording of a gig from the beginnings of Carnivore,the pre-album era.The sound is pretty good,considering that it is recorded in 1984.The tracks played here are just as on their demo,not that fast but really powerful.And here we got also a very interesting slow version of God Is Dead.I adore Carnivore,so all I can say about this live is grab it at once,this is definitely worth downloading!!
