Arisse came from Rijeka and were a band that didn`t lasted very long,they released two demos,one in English and one in Croatian.They play pretty primitive Thrash Metal,and this one is a great soundboard live recording I found on a cassette,along with the Kain live performance.And until now everything is fine.I have found out that the band had some very bad fascination for Nazism (prove me wrong,please!),as in the first song from this recording have the vocalist shouting Sieg Heil,and the two letters S in the name probably means the same.If it was for me,I would not put a shit like that on this blog.But there are two reasons I did.The first (less important) is;if satanic bands can be here,so bands like this can-for me it is same shit other cover.But the second,more important is;it was your request,and you know what are your requests for me...
This post can be described as the turning point of this blog.It has been two years since I ripped a tape to mp3 format the last time.With this one I started again,and there is a lot of stuff waiting to be ripped,thanx to many contributors,and to tapes from my collection that have been put on hold.Now I found an old Marantz cassette recorder in the basement,a line-component that Tusta from KUD Idijoti gave me some 10 years or more ago.I tought all the time that this thing is not working,as he told me to make a small reparation on it..but to my surprise,it works.So all the tapes put on hold will be transferred slowly to mp3,to be posted here.Of course,there won`t be only this kind of recordings,but I assure you that there will be a lot of rare recordings.. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Now back to this post.If you ask me who is for my opinion the best Heavy Metal vocal ever,I will give you this answer without a second of thinking;IAN GILLAN.There are a lot of proofs that he is the best,but I`ll just give you one;Deep Purple`s Made In Japan album.The way he performed Child In Time on that album is simply untoppable.Period. The recording you have the exclusive opportunity to have on this blog is a recording of a Gillan show in Zagreb from the tour 1981,shown on the Croatian (then Yugoslavian) national television on the New Years night 1982,I remember it like it was yesterday.This is found on a tape with a 26 year old recording ,recorded with a mono cassette recorder leaned on the speaker of the TV.I ripped this recording into mp3 format just before the tape decomposed (figuratively).The recording is still more or less very fair,with some mistakes caused by time.There are short bits that were cancelled and few more bad things that happened to this tape,as;the second part of Bite the bullet and New Orleans were on the b-side of the cassette,which probably passed near a magnet,so the sound is contantly changing from low to high all over again.I tried to fix it,amplified the silent parts,and the result is not that bad.All in all,this is a pure collectors item,and surely a gift for all the fans of this great band.I loved and followed Gillan band,so this is for me like pure gold.I hope it will be for you too.Recommended.
TRIVIA;for those who don`t know; 01-the bass player John McCoy produced one of the Yugoslavia`s top selling Rock album,Mrtva Priroda by Riblja Corba. 02-On this recording,the guitar was played by Bernie Torme.14 days after this concert,Bernie left the band and was replaced with Janick Gers (actual Iron Maiden`s guitarist).

I really don`t understand why Macedonia have a so small Metal scene,it`s a shame that teir bands can be almost counted on your fingers..well,in spite of that,Sanatorium are doing their job very well,this is their third release plus a demo from the beginning.Fairly played Thrash Metal singed in Macedonian.This album contains bonus live and studio tracks!Enjoy.

Now,for something completely different;this is my brother,Chriss aka Selecta Eastrahman,drummer on 40% of the Pula bands you will find on this blog,this time here without drumming but DJ-ing.Actually,I must admit I am not much into this type of music,but as far as I know,this works same as techno DJ`s,only with reggae(just a little) and Jamaican and Afroamerican lyrics.I like this thing,compared to the Metal and Hardcore stuff here very relaxing on one hand,and very danceable on another.Here is a selection (made by me!) of his mixes done in the period between 2003 and 2006.Good luck,bro.
Gardenia (a band from Pula,of course) was already featured in my blog,but with their previous name Foxxy Lady.After they changed the name,they wanted to do things more professionally,so they made new recordings and a video for Po Prvi Put,and got a permission from Josipa Lisac personally to perform her songs.And all the songs on this EP are Josipa`s covers. This line-up lasted few years,but then again they changed few members,and the vocalist released a solo album under a monicker Mor Roll.This recording is what left of a great band,which honestly is still performing,but as far as I know with less intensity than before.

How to describe it?There`s no info on this band,and it seems like it was just a project from some guys from Slavonski Brod,and they lasted just for a year.But here we`re talking about a high quality Melodic Death Metal,it is a pity that bands like this one end their carreers so early.Anyway,enjoy this one.Contributed by Metalstorm (thanks man!).

As we are getting close to the 6th anniversary of Chuck`s death (ok,it is an unintentional game of words) , I am posting here one of the greatest demos I have ever heard.Death haven`t had enough money to mix this demo,so it was released unmixed and raw,but for my opinion,even this way it came out perfectly.This is A MUST.

This is a more/less rare one,the first and only album of the band from Split.It was actually a side-project of members of Evil Blood,and this album is an official one.This album lacks of one song,after track number 6 (To hell and back in one day),and I am very sorry for this.But anyway,I hope that you will enjoy this album.Not the best recording,but a very good Thrash Metal,for which I can`t understand why it remained so hidden for all this time (at least for me..)..Great stuff contributed by Metalstorm.Thank you,man!

Here is the come-back cd of one of the most stubborn bands in Croatia.Coming from Pula,Messerschmitt started in 1988,and until now they changed members (except for the indestructible Miro Kusacic,who gave me this CD) but never,and I mean NEVER changed the musical style.This CD is their first material after a longer pause,and it is a CD of covers,all standards and played in their own style.So all classic rock played dirty and loud,enjoy!

Atheist Rap comes from Novi Sad,they are well known all over the ex-YU as a great party band.By this I mean that every gig they play is a big party.They`re not the classic Punk-Rock band with classic Punk attitude,they play on humor and very variable song styles.This one is their first album,the cd release with bonus live tracks.

Another Black Metal band from Serbia,this time without face-paint.Plamen Iskona`s stuff is pure Black Metal,ruined only by the too synthetic sound of the rhythm-machine.I received this demo from the guitarist Morpheus,and he warned me that this is just a pre-demo,so we hope that a good drummer will fill-in very soon.By the way,if you want to play drums or bass in a Black Metal band,here is the opportunity!Thanx to Morpheus for this one.

The first thing that kicks you in your balls here is the almost perfect Kyuss-esque production.Super Booster are from Pula,(I don`t have to repeat it anymore,all the great bands comes from Pula,right?), and are undoubtely the best Stoner Metal band comin` from Croatia.Half a band is ex-Headbanger members.All the pot-smokin` freaks and all those who will become it should have this!!
Oooww..I adored this album back in the 80`s (and I still do,of course!) and this is the english version of their March Au Creve album,sang in French.I am hunting for years for this album (I mean on the net,I have the vinyl version since 1983.).A great Heavy Metal album this one,featuring one of the first Nicko McBrain performances (as far as I know).And Trust are a band that has been covered by Anthrax (Antisocial,one of Trust`s first hit).I say;A MUST.

This band was a request by someone who visited this blog,I am sorry you have waited that much,but Roihlem (Thanx,man!!) saved me and sent me this demo by Pergament,a band that had also an album,but then they split-up.This is pretty interesting,as it is a recording that is partly Thrash and partly a very powerful Heavy Metal.Anyway,perfectly played.Worth downloading.

I have already posted their mini-lp,here`s now the full album.If you liked the mini,there is no worry you won`t like this one.Very strong Hard Rock,in momemts balancing to Heavy Metal.The band eventually split after their guitarist received the invitation from Riblja Corba to replace Rajko Kojic on guitar.A very nice one this one.

I am sorry I don`t have a bigger picture of this album..I could have scanned the cover, but I have only a A4 scanner so it would be just a part of it.. maybe some day soon.. A private rememberance; I remember when Sasa Dadic (drummer of AS, at the time my next door neighbour) brought to my father this album, he had the test pressing of it, and he came to my home to listen to it with us.. these are things you never forget. And that makes this album even bigger for me. So after those things, tell me how a kid won`t love Hard/Heavy music... Anyway, I think it is, in a way the highest (musically, of course) moment of AS. This is one of the best ex-Yu live albums ever, and one of the best ex-Yu Hard Rock albums ever. Recorded in Pula, and it can be easily the "Best of" album of the three first albums. Essential, believe me.

Ok,I won`t say much about it,this is the third album by this Christian Rock band from Croatia,as far as I know,they have one more album,that I don`t have,at least for the moment.Hard Rock from father Bobas and his band.One interesting fact is that Glasnici Nade were helped here and there by Sead Lipovaca,the main guitarist in Divlje Jagode!For collectors.
