Re-Post: FULL METAL JACKET - compilation CD 1997

Now, for all those who think Croatia is not a Metal nation.. This CD is the only OFFICIAL Croatian Metal compilation ever released (I repeat, official, there is a recent one, but it is compiled as DIY so it is more unofficial), and contains part of the bands that were active then (except for B.Runner and D.Mortification, for example, there are Pula bands missing here!! Ok, it would be a triple cd, but still...), and it was made by Drinking Skull`s guitarist Marijan`s label. It is a nice try, even I still think that GDNHY should have left the place to a more Metal band, but they were probably Marijan`s friends, so.. anyway, from Drinking Skull, to the croatian COF clones Castrum to Firmament, all bands make a great compilation,  which should have been followed by a sequel..Obligatory for all the Cro-Metal lovers.

A compilation I got from my guitarist Mladen, something released after I moved from Pula to Varazdin.This compilation holds five bands from Pula, all rehearsing in the Karlo Rojc community.This is material of high musical quality, all bands with great recordings, two songs by each bands. I know that many Croatian Metal fans will get this one for Nailed and Skepsis +. Enjoy.

This should be a blast of a compilation! Especially for all those who are searching for Croatian bands of the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2Ks.Rostiljarka is the name of a radio show aired regularly since 2001 (I guess) and is still running every Sunday evening on Pula`s Radio Maestral.This is the compilation of the parties they did in 2002, and what you have here are LIVE recordings of bands that played there.The recordings are all top quality, so this is a cd you gotta have.Metal Punk and Goth bands all in one place.

Well,it`s time now for another Croatian Metal compilation.This one was compiled by my friend Maras,once guitarist in Drinking Skull and still main editor of the only Croatian Metal magazine United Forces.As I got this cd separately,I am not quite sure if this cd came with the magazine or sold separately.However,it is an excellent compilation of bands that represented Croatian Metal in 2002.I won`t go analysing every single band here now,if you liked Croatian Metal until now,this one is simply a must.

Of course you recognized the guy in the middle,definitely the most hyperactive guy in the metal scene EVER (he was and/or is member of 15 bands!!) and a great friend and musician,Danny Lilker.Well,this is the band he is mostly concentrated on the last few years (besides Brutal Truth),a technically interesting mixture of various metal styles,defined on the net as Black Metal,but for my opinion not even close to it.You have to try it to decipher what is it.I am not discovering hot water with this one,this demo is on their site for free download,but I put it here just to make the things easier for you.This is the first post I will describe only with the word Metal,because I don`t want to make a mistake here..

Soo,I told Kktz there will be a surprise..This is a tape my colleague Kktz compiled some 15 years ago (I just got the information of 1994.) while he had his Fecal Forces Production DIY label.A very nice collection totally underground bands,spanning from Metal to HC,but everything strictly underground.I am glad that there are 4 Istrian bands,3 from Pula!Thanx to Zlajo for the tape.Ddctd to Kktz.

FECAL ATTACK VOL.1 , CROATIAN COMPILATION CASSETTE 1994

WALTARI (Fin) - So fine , cd 1994

I was a member of their fan-club in 1995!!!I heard one of their tracks on a Roadrunner compilation,and I was hooked by their Variable Metal-I should call it this way-the skillfullness,the perfection of both playing and production..Really..A friend asked me if I ever heard of a Finnish band..you don`t have to ask what happened anymore;he had to sell me his cd.This album was even better than the track I have heard..Mixing virtually every kind of Metal with virtually every kind of music,plus making it as Metal as they can with preserving the originality of the source..I know,I am bullshitting,but if there is justice,then the Red Hot Chili Peppers should kiss asses to Waltari,believe me.On this album you can even find a Death Metal hidden track at the end of Mysterious (after the silence,blah,blah..)..And what to say about the great cover of The Cure and The Stranglers??...I am not their fan anymore,or better to say;I don`t follow their work anymore,they released dozens of albums,but this one remained for me a true beauty.
