Well, this one is a killer for sure..You already know BG for sure, this is one of the earlier works, but undoubtely not even slightly lighter than the other stuff.Grindcore to the bone.As for the slovenian SD, they have the crust side of this split, very interesting and noisy too.

Here is a nice rarity I got from some musical collectors from Pula, this is a demo from a Pula`s band from the late 70s/early 80s, Visoki Napon, a Punky New Wave act represented here with a good quality studio demo.I enjoyed listening to it, it reminded me of the first gigs I saw exactly around 1978-79-80s..If I am not wrong, Romeo from Besposlicari/The Spoons played here...

The album you see here is almost a rarity today. It is the very first album of the band known today as GUSTAFI, and playing today a completely different music.The music featured on this album dated 1985 can be described as "the most alternative Talking Heads stuff". The production is an excellent work by Ekatarina Velika`s leader Milan Mladenovic.As this album was never released on cd, this one is a great vinyl rip.

Now something found somewhere on the net, a rare soundboard live recording of Bajaga (ex-Riblja Corba guitarist) and his band Instruktori.This one is taken in Osijek (Croatia), and I wrote Croatia because this is a recording from 1985, and that means that Yugoslavia was still one country, and Croatia was part of it.After the beginning of war in 1990/91, almost a decade will pass until the first Serbian performers will do shows in Croatia again.History made its turn, and Bajaga was one of the first Serbian performers to return to Croatia.

Now something unusual, a very young band, and by saying that, I mean it.As you can see in the pic, they are all kids, and the smallest of them in front is not their mascotte, but it is the drummer, which at the time of the recording was only 8 years old.The material here is not that bad, actually it is very melodic.A kind of dark metal with vocal in the Sisters Of Mercy style.All in all, something you can at least try, if you are sceptic for their ages.

And here is a little treat again from our friend from Serbia, this is the first demo of one of the best bands from Serbia.The band passed through a tragedy this year (I won`t repeat it again, as respect to the band) and all I can say is that I really hope they will stand on their feet again and come out of this twice stronger. This is a band from Pula, whose CD was given to me personally by the lead vocalist Debac, a living legend of the Rock scene from Pula (Zablja Perspektiva, Rosa Nera, DETMA, Manekeni...) , singing from the beginning of the 80s and still not giving up.And there is no reason to give up anyway.This is a very strong CD with music that can be comparable to the best Alice In Chains works, and with slightly Tool and Soundgarden influences.
The recording is highly professional, so I think that, if you like the mentioned bands, then there is absolutely no reason to miss this one!Hvala Debac!

Nadimac is already featured here, and this is their EP from 2008, a kind of predecessor to their new album, soon to be released by the Chinese old-school label Area Death Production.They call themselves "the Serbian Kreator" but I would rather call them just Nadimac, because they are far from Kreator in the Metal style, and they sound fresher anyway.So, let`s wait for their album!

Also, I found out that this album is not released in 1995 (as written on the file) but in 1993.The music they play is a kind of Rock that I can`t put anywhere, even if it is so simple.I can compare them to, let`s say, Psihomodo Pop.. Here is another "lost tape" from the Pula Rock scene history.Gubitnici were a band that didn`t lasted for a long time, they played few gigs and made a demo in a surprisingly short time, but then disappeared from the scene.This is a perfectly produced demo containing 5 melodic Garage/Punk tunes.No cover, picture, or video.

ISTARSKI ROCK `86 - Istrian compilation cassette 1986

As you can read in the backcover, this cassette is released in only 200 copies, so it makes an ultrarare item.Luckily, the work around the movie about the underground music in PULA in the 70s and 80s saved somehow all these pearls from disappearance.
This is a compilation of Istrian rock bands released by the slovenian small label "Slovenija" from Koper, a small beautiful city at the top of the Istrian peninsula`s southwestern shores.Here are featured 4 band (of which I know only 2).The first one is CASTEL, I don`t know anything about them, they play some new romantic stuff, very nice.KUD IDIJOTI is a band you already know, and this stuff is taken from their 1986 demo you already know too.The next band is H.T.B. and I don`t know nothing about them, except the fact that their bassist later became a member of The Spoons from Pula.Nice rock.The last band SUMSKI PJEVACI GORTANOVE UVALE is probably the most interesting of those four bands, with an extremely interesting melodical palette and two milestone musicians of the scene of Pula, Goran Curic-Cotka and Sandro Perocevic (incidentally, engineers and producers of my band`s Hatross demo from 1992, and Cotka also of the one from 1996, and soon of the new Devastation material - this is a scoop!!).
All in all, a nice compilation for all those who wonders about some Istrian bands that were not that exposed at that time..
