This is a recording I got directly from the band a long time ago, and finally here they are.This band is originally from Jordan, but now living/working in Gdansk, Poland. Let me cite you this "Omar Al Kilani (guitar,vocal) has moved to Poland because he was unhappy about the level of musicianship in his native country, and because he and other metal-musicians were being persecuted in his native country." Now you tell me is there anything more than this to the phrase "Live for Metal"? No, there isn`t.Here is their last work, a cd of Thrash/Death Metal played very fairly!
Progressive Power Metal from Serbia.Played perfectly good, an album that is a must for all those who like their metal heavy and virtuose.Alogia is one of the hottest Metal acts from Serbia, and I think there are some chances we`ll see them in Croatia soon.Well, not me, I am not into this kind of Metal that much, but I really recommend this album to true Metal lovers.
This is a nice promo cd, I got it from the radio station where I worked in the 90s.This is the compilation of a festival held in Litija, Slovenia, and lasted few years.There was a bunch of Garage Rock, Classic Rock and Punk Rock bands, a festival that completely negated Metal as music, thanx to the art director and founder of the festival, a person I won`t even mention, but you can hear on the introduction track 1 on the cd.This cd is, as written, not for sale, so I give it to you for free.
Now, this is the point where Discharge loses the strenght of the HNSNSN album and started to metalize.Actually, Doom`s Day is the last shake of the old nerve,while the title track is a song with a nice Metal riff, and with a mid tempo.Still the Discharge I adored in any way.
This is the second demo of this Serbian Black Metal duo, which is still active, but has no new material since this demo.This is a hell of stuff, excellent BM played in the best Mayhem/early Emperor way.Except for the topic (as usual not concerning me at all), the music kills.
Wipe Away is a brand new one-man-band from Macedonia,playing some Christian Gothic music and unlike other known Gothic bands, this one is practicly without guitars, only a great piano.In the band except for the man behind it all, mr. Zarko Atanasov, there is the guest vocalist Marina Petrushevska.A nice soothing stuff for Goth lovers.
Here is something I found on the blog JUGOZVUK, a beautiful blog of ex-Yu music of all kind.This is the complete demo of this Bosnian band from Tuzla, a band that buned out fast, but probably disappeared with the beginning of the war.The sound is pretty good, and this is a collectors item.
When you see a band like this one, and a guitar like the red one (the guitars are all red, I mean the one in front..) on the pic, you have to love them at once..This is the most Classic Speed Thrash Metal stuff you can get.A very good demo with great riffing, this is the only demo they did under this name.Recommended!!
Oh yeah, we got some classic NWOBHM but made by Swedes.I already posted some Mercy stuff, and this is their first full lenght album.This is basic, man!The purest Heavy Metal you can hear around.And the titles says it all:Heavy Metal Warriors, Metal Mania..maaaann...I wish there are more bands like this one today..
Here is an album from the Italian fun Punk Rock veterans, Skiantos, a band that still plays today since 1977.The band is not classic Punk Rock, more a Punk kind of New Wave, but very professional.This album is made of 7 studio tracks and 5 recorded live.Italian Punk history.Oh, yeah, and thanx to Vladimir for this one!
Some darkened Gothic Metal this way comes..WT is a one man band, a creation of a guy named Jez, and this is the only EP this band have until now.The interesting fact is that this band features also Nick Barker (ex-million bands, like the good ole Gene Hoglan..) on the drums as a guest musician.Nice stuff here.
This should be a blast of a compilation! Especially for all those who are searching for Croatian bands of the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2Ks.Rostiljarka is the name of a radio show aired regularly since 2001 (I guess) and is still running every Sunday evening on Pula`s Radio Maestral.This is the compilation of the parties they did in 2002, and what you have here are LIVE recordings of bands that played there.The recordings are all top quality, so this is a cd you gotta have.Metal Punk and Goth bands all in one place.
Let me introduce you to this amazing new Croatian band, and their EP from last year.I don`t know much about them, but all I know is that I can say that it is a very long time I haven`t heard instrumentalists of this caliber coming from Croatia (ok, I forgot Insolitvs, I hope I can present to you theiru stuff very soon).This is a three piece recording of very good quality, and pieces of very inovative music, variating from Metal to Jazz, all mashed in one hard form.
Serbian Black Metal, you know that Serbia is a country very rich with Metal bands, and WH are one of the hottest bands there.Melodic Black Metal with a lot of fantasy (Great Serbia) and with a lot of national proud in it.Very good, if we talk about music.
This is definitely the first Thrash Metal band with a female vocal and the now defunct Dawn Crosby did it perfectly well,before Sabina, Angela or other female extreme vocalists.This is an excellent demo and a very good quality recording for all the old school bangers!
