Now, a chillin` compilation from Serbia, nothing new, a compilation I bought in 1993., when serbian music and serbian cds were almost illegal in Croatia.This is a compilation that varies from the Pop of Djordje Balasevic to the New Wave of Disciplina Kicme.Those songs have no connections whatsoever, except for being from Serbia, and being on this compilation.A nice one though.

The best period this band had.A rehearsal with the track from their best album, and one of the best Black Metal albums ever.The sound is not soundboard, it was recorded probably as almost every rehearsal in the old school way, with a cassette recorder.And for being recorded that way, it sounds very good.

This compilation was supposed to be the follow-up of the great "Novi Punk Val" compilation, but it wasn`t.This compilation contains only slovenian Punk bands (and Buldogi repeating from the mentioned compilation).And one more thing, probably less important, this one lacks of hit songs (probably a good thing for Punk, but not for the wider masses).So here it is, and this comes by request!

Our friend Zlatko is really a friend, here is something extremely fresh and new, a band writing and playing exclusively their own stuff, and a band that does it veeeery good.Epic Power Metal played in an incredibly perfect way, with a good production, this is the 896th band from Serbia that sounds very good (with this I wanted to say that Serbia is a surprisingly talented country for Metal).Enjoy, man, before they get big!

This album is something that is expected for a very long time, after this band practicly exploded around with their Ep "Metal je rat", everyone anxiously expected a full release.And here it is.Released by the chinese "Area Death Productions" label, this album is inevitable to become one of your personal favourites, if you are into "new wave of old skool Speed Thrash Metal" bands (for example; Municipal Waste). Finally it is out.This album means a lot to me, because it brings my memory to a guy I knew until the beginning of this year, until he left this planet forever.Post Mortem are a cult band from the 80s, and just as they planned a reunion, the vocalist John McCarthy died on January 28th this year, and it seemingly stopped the reunion.

As the musical part of the new album was over, the guitarist John Alexander decided to finish it as a tribute to Macca (McCarthy).The vocals were done by SIGH`s vocalist Mirai Kawashima, and Alexander decided to include on the album some alternate versions of some songs with other vocalists, guys who were friends of the Macca, so as bonus tracks are included 5 songs sung by other vocalists such as Seth from Anal Cunt and Mike from Cianide.And I am proud to say that I gave my tribute too, I sung the McCarthy`s song "A Happy Life", it is no.15 on this cd.The cd is available through the myspace page of the band, or at www.tabootapes.com . Well, this one is a killer for sure..You already know BG for sure, this is one of the earlier works, but undoubtely not even slightly lighter than the other stuff.Grindcore to the bone.As for the slovenian SD, they have the crust side of this split, very interesting and noisy too.

Here is a nice rarity I got from some musical collectors from Pula, this is a demo from a Pula`s band from the late 70s/early 80s, Visoki Napon, a Punky New Wave act represented here with a good quality studio demo.I enjoyed listening to it, it reminded me of the first gigs I saw exactly around 1978-79-80s..If I am not wrong, Romeo from Besposlicari/The Spoons played here...

The album you see here is almost a rarity today. It is the very first album of the band known today as GUSTAFI, and playing today a completely different music.The music featured on this album dated 1985 can be described as "the most alternative Talking Heads stuff". The production is an excellent work by Ekatarina Velika`s leader Milan Mladenovic.As this album was never released on cd, this one is a great vinyl rip.

Now something found somewhere on the net, a rare soundboard live recording of Bajaga (ex-Riblja Corba guitarist) and his band Instruktori.This one is taken in Osijek (Croatia), and I wrote Croatia because this is a recording from 1985, and that means that Yugoslavia was still one country, and Croatia was part of it.After the beginning of war in 1990/91, almost a decade will pass until the first Serbian performers will do shows in Croatia again.History made its turn, and Bajaga was one of the first Serbian performers to return to Croatia.
