CORONER (Swi) - Death cult , demo 1986

I think I don`t have to introduce this demo in a special way,this is a cult-demo,almost a must-have of any Thrash Metal fan.I don`t have to say also that the vocals on this demo were done by Tom Warrior (Celtic Frost..like I have to specify who Tom Warrior is..),so many fans loved this demo as practicly an extension to Celtic Frost`s discography,which is NOT.Coroner are Tom brother`s band,and played a sophisticated and less in-your-face Thrash.A must,truly a must.

Tracks;
01.Spectators of sin
02.Spiral dream
03.Aerial combat
04.The invincible

BIJELO DUGME (BiH) - Kad bi bio bijelo dugme , lp 1974

I know that some of you will say "WTF?What are Bijelo Dugme doing here??"..Well yes,Bijelo Dugme was the biggest band ever in the ex-YU (and in most ex-communist countries too!!),Rock music in Yugoslavia is unimaginable without them,seemed like Rock in Yugoslavia "began" with them..Bijelo Dugme was a band that could easily stand shoulder to shoulder with ie. Uriah Heep.This one is their first album,pure Hard Rock (if you ask me) very comparable to Uriah Heep.I really loved them (and I still do) , also because they remind me of times that are gone forever.For the classic Hard Rock lovers!!

SUMRAK IDEJA (Cro) - demo 1987

Another Hard Rock band from Pula,active in the 80`s.They lasted few years,and have been the strongest Hard Rock band around 1985-1987,had just few recordings-more of the rehearsal-recording type.This is one of those few,a good soundboard recording,and again,a recording for the HardRock/Heavy Metal made in YU collectors.The memberson this recording were;Dino and Boro (today both in Powerslave,an Iron Maiden cover band) , Bazda (lost in Holland) , Chriss (reggae DJ) and Davor (committed suicide 7-8 years ago).

PHANTASM (USA) - Wreckage demo + live , cd 2001

This one was,for my opinion,the most underrated supergroup of the second half of the 80s.Formed by the first Metallica bassist Ron McGovney (I hope he never knew what a part of his second name means in the Yugoslavian languages!!) in 1983,the band in 1987 was joined by Katon W. DePena from Hirax and Gene Hoglan from most of the metal bands in the world.They recorded this extremely good demo Wreckage,a total must for all Thrash fans,and this release contains also a great live recording from one of the bands live performance.You gotta have this one!

VIS IDOLI (Ser) - Vis Idoli , mini lp 1981

Ok,I think you understood finally that you will find everything here,not only Metal and Punk/HC.And so,here we have a first mini lp from a Belgrade-based band,one of the first of the Yugoslavian New Wave invasion at the beginning of the 80s.If I am not wrong,the promo show for this mini lp,along with FILM,was the first "real" concert I have seen (I was 12,right?).So this thing is a little emotionally nostalgic too.I will post a lot of records from that periods,maybe some of you will be interested in the history of Yugoslavian new wave music from the beginning of the 80s.Now about the record.First of all,in this posting,under the name of the VIS Idoli`s first mini-lp (actually,it was a maxi-single,I still have the vinyl!!),here you have included also their very first single,and it is here as the first two songs.The music here is a melodic,and a bit artistic New Wave.I cannot compare them to any band,but if you like something melodic..there you go..

MALFORMED (Cro) - From the depths , demo 2003

This one`s a demo from a very interesting Death Metal band from Croatia (Zagreb,I guess) ,which recorded only this demo in 2003 and then stopped.On their official site you can read that the recording of the album is on and going pretty slow..too bad it is written in 2005.Seems like we`ll never see that album,so enjoy this excellent demo tape.

02.For the flight the soul was made
03.Appeal to nihilism

MALFORMED - FROM THE DEPTHS , DEMO 2003

Here we go with another Croatian Metal band,from Split,a very talented one,but not a long lasting one.All they left is this demo and an album entitled World Of Nothingness.A very melodic Death Metal with slight Black Metal influences.The material here is a great studio production,and the live track sounds perfectly.So,for all the Croatian/ex-Yu Metal scene fans,this one is a demo you have to have in your collection.

UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED (USA) - compilation single 1982

Have you ever listened to the best punk/HC compilation ever,and by this I mean,of course, "This Is Boston,Not L.A."?You didn`t?OK,that compilation is on plan for upload,but meanwhile taste this compilation,which is as good as the mentioned one,with bands that are all part of the mentioned one.This single is in fact a kind of "enlargement" of T.I.B,N.L.A.All the tracks are really exciting,full energy punk/HC,and the compilation cannot start better than with the (at the time) ultrafast GANG GREEN.This one is obligatory,believe me.

OSMI PUTNIK (Cro) - Ulicna Molitva , lp 1986

This upload was in a way a request,now that the person found this album on another site,I am putting it here because of you others,who are interested in Yugoslavian Heavy Metal,before Yugoslavia ceased to exist in the shape that it was until the war.This band was from Split,Croatia (actually,they still are,reformed recently in a different line-up),and was very popular in the mid 80s.Heavy Rock,with lyrics by Gibonni,an author that very soon after leaving Osmi Putnik became the most succesful mainstream-pop author and songwriter,with solo albums that sold a very lot.But this is Osmi Putnik`s first lp.

FALLOUT (USA) - Rock Hard , single 1981

Yeeeeahh!!!You are about to hear what Peter Steele did before Carnivore,Type O Negative and Playgirl!That`s right,this is the band in which not only Peter,but also Josh Silver (keyboards) and Louie Beateaux (drums),joined by John Campos (guitar) started their carreer as we know it.I don`t know how to describe this one,I tought I should write NWOBHM,but as are not British,let`s call it Heavy Metal.I really love the atmosphere and the music in these two tracks,especially track 2,really greatly enriched by Josh`s keyboards.If you are a Carnivore or T.O.N. fan,then you should take it at once,if not,I think you should try it at least,it is really worth.

Tracks;
01.Rock hard
02.Batteries not included

FALLOUT - ROCK HARD , single 1981

ANTI OTPAD (Cro) - Bozicnjak,Korzo,Pula,25.12.1992.

I don`t know what picture to put for this recording,as I don`t have not even one Anti Otpad picture,I used Jule for the previous post,what now?So I used a picture of the band Talenti,where the Anti Otpad vocalist Beli sang ONE gig,but about it next time.Now about this one.I remember,it was freezing outside,Christmas eve,and it was a show played on the main square in Pula,an open air festival of demo bands.I mean OPEN AIR IN DECEMBER!!!And I remember that Jule was in shorts and T-shirt (!!) and beli had a devil red costume.Well,anyway,this one was one of the most memorable Anti Otpad show visually,as musically they played only covers of Hali Gali Halid and Satan Panonski.I recommend this one for the Anti Otpad die-hard fans.

Tracks;
01.Monstrum (Moje srce zna)
02.Caj od maka
03.Mirela

HLADNO PIVO (Cro) - Desetka , cd 1997

A Croatian megapopular Punk band,who became,just in few years,a total mainstream,with songs that I don`t have even the patience to listen.But this one was really great!The Mile`s (vocal) songwriting is extremely brilliant,and for my opinion they reached the top in both production and musicianship on this one,as they mellowed out on the further recordings.This was their third album,the first two were also strictly Punk/Hardcore,but on this one I think they found the perfect balance between what they did and what they do now.Just let me point out that this was voted as best alternative album in Croatia in 1997,by both critics and audience!And a trivia fact for the extremists;on this album the bass guitar was played by Hadzo from the cult Grindcore band Patareni.

Tracks;
01.Nema vise
