NEPAL (Cro) - Freak Out, demo summer 1992

This demo was given to me by my friend Marin, once the vocalist of Nepal, today the vocalist of Effatha. This demo is something we listened to back in the 90s, and we also had a lot of opportunities to see them live too. The band recorded just this demo, it is cool stuff, Hard Rock with an alternative touch.

RIBLJA CORBA (Ser) - Live in Split 1987

One of the most influential ex-Yu Hard Rock bands, Riblja Corba, went downhill after the split of Yugoslavia, mostly for the fascist attitude of their vocalist Bora Djordjevic. Before that they were an institution with sold out concerts all over the country. This is an excellent soundboard recording of a concert held in Split, Croatia in 1987. It clearly shows that before the madness that possessed the brain of the bands leader, it was a band loved by everyone, even if it was not an excellent top performance. This is an extraordinary document !!

RIBLJA CORBA - LIVE IN SPLIT 1987

METRO (Ser) - Cupave Glave, lp 1983

Hard Rock, man. Balkanian Hard Rock. If you heard Griva, Divlje Jagode and similiar bands, this is something in that way. I have to thank Roihlem for this lost record, I didn`t ever heard of it back in time, and even is a 56 kbps vinyl rip, I must tell that it is pretty fair. For Hard Rock lovers.

POP START (ex-Yu) - compilation album 1975

Unfortunately, for the moment there is no pic of the cover, I have the vinyl and I have to find some time to make a pic of it.Meanwhile, here is a great ex-yugoslavian Rock-bands compilation, and this is a really, REALLY nice one.It goes from the Korni Grupa (featuring Zlatko Pejakovic!) , through my favourites Indexi, the masters Smak, then the pre-Bijelo Dugme band VIS Jutro (!!), Yu Grupa and the psychedelic Pop Masina. A really good compilation, and one of the rare featuring all bads that have their names engraved in gold in the history of Yugoslav Rock music. Enjoy this one!

RIBLJA CORBA (Ser) - Hala Pionir, Beograd 08.12.1985.

I found this recording somewhere on the net, and in this rar file you will find also the VIDEOS for both songs. Riblja Corba sucks shit lately (IMHO), but back until the 90s they were probably the biggest band in Yugoslavia (with Bijelo Dugme) and this stuff is from 1985, so from their mark II line-up and their second best part of their whole carreer (the mark I line-up is simply too good to be comparised with anything they did after). Enjoy history.

Tracks:

01.Prica o Ziki Zivcu

02.Pogledaj dom svoj andjele

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Live Zajecar 1991

Well, we passed throught the complete AS discography, and now, thanx to my found-again friend Pero, here˙s a bootleg of the probably last concert of a Croatian band in Serbia, before the war divided those two countries.Of course, it is not the complete show, as AS were headlining the traditional Zajecar demo-bands festival that summer of 1991.The complete show is available on DVD.And here is an excerpt from it..

01.Cedna gradska lica
02.Saznao sam dijagnozu

BAS CELIK (Ser) - Gundjaju ti za sitnice , lp 1983

I don`t know much about this Hard Rock band from Serbia, but they are from the period when Hard Rock in Serbia gave a lot of more or less popular/successful Hard Rock bands.BC are one of the less popular,at least for me.The Hard Rock they play is very similiar to the Griva or Generacija 5 or even Kerber kind.A collectors item anyway! It is totally a help from my contributor Roihlem!Thanx,Ro!

01.Upomoc
02.Pogresna veza

ATOMIC SHELTER (Cro/U.S.A.) - This spaceship , lp 1987

For all those who collected the Atomsko Skloniste discography, this is the album that fills it to the end.I passed all their Yugoslavian,Croatian and American releases, this is the second American release, this time only Bruno Langer and Dragan Guzvan remained of the Croatian part of the band. While Bruno and Dragan were in Florida prepairing the album, the original vocalist Sergio Blazic died in a hospital in Pula. This is an album that definitively closed the work of the original Atomsko Skloniste.Again,no new songs, just re-arrangements of old stuff.
Thank you,Atomsko Skloniste.

DRUGI NACIN (Cro) - Drugi nacin , lp 1975

Here is this album I had ready for posting, and now comes the request for this,so..Drugi Nacin`s first album is what I call a Hippy record..I remember the Pula hippies back in the 70s and 80s,they were crazy about this album.Actually,it is an album of progressive Hard Rock, with some great Hard Rock moments as the first two songs,my personal favorites not only concerning the band, but in the whole Yu Rock history.Surely a great album for the fans of old 70s Hard Rock.

Tracks:
01.Opet..
02.Carstvo samoce
03.Na mom dlanu
04.Lile su kise
05.Zuti list

APARTMAN 69 (Ser) - Seti se moje pesme , lp 1983

Another Mel`s golden post, one of the forgotten albums of the Yugoslavian Hard Rock. The band is active today under the name Kraljevski Apartman, this album is from their (ancient) beginnings, and it sounds just like that. But this is a great document of the ex-Yu Hard Rock scene. In a way, comparable with early Atomsko Skloniste, early Bijelo Dugme, early Riblja Corba, and the harder tracks by Yu-Grupa.For the collectors!

Tracks:
01.Vesnine jesenje kise
02.Seti se moje pesme

ATOMIC SHELTER (Cro) - Space generation , lp 1983

Continuing the Atomsko Skloniste discography, and rushing to its end, here is the bands first album recorded in the USA for the american market. It is a cool album, with old songs more or less rearranged or replayed, with lyrics in english. This is the only "american" album sung by Sergio Blazic and actually played by the original croatian line-up,and it is a nice album to fill your collection.Only one missing.
P.S:No video existing from this album.

Tracks:
01.Space generation

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Bez kaputa , single 1980

I just found an ad on the Croatian net, this single in VG condition costs 150 kunas (20 Euros approx). This is the second AS single I put here, and here finishes the official YU/Cro part of the AS discography (there are two albums recorded in USA as Atomic Shelter).AS were truly a great Hard Rock band, and I am proud I was able to give to you everything I had.Of course, the two US albums will be here too,soon..

Tracks:
01.Bez kaputa
02.Tko ce tad na zgaristu reci

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE - BEZ KAPUTA , SINGLE 1980

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Terra mistica , cd 1995

This is the last official release of AS,an album that passed very unnoticed (compared to all others) and an album that is pretty powerless compared to all others. It is still Hard Rock as AS knew, but even Bruno`s voice lost power..an album for the AS collectors, because it is senseless to have the complete discography without the last album.

Tracks:
01.Moja zemlja
02.Ciganka
03.Izvan sazvjezdja
04.Ona
05.Svirao je R`n`R

DIVLJE JAGODE (BiH) - Stakleni hotel , lp 1981

It is year 1981,and the Yugoslavian Hard Rock scene got another strong band which will soon become owner of an album which will be one of the top selling Yu-rock albums of all the times. This is their second album which attracted major attention to the band and prepaired the ground for the upcoming "Motori" storm. This is the vocalists last album with the band, and he temporarily sings with the band again since last year,so..Enjoy this piece of history.

Tracks:
01.Autostop
02.Mrak za dvoje
03.Kako si topla i mila
04.Stakleni hotel

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Pomorac sam majko , single 1979

I have just one release of the late Atomsko Skloniste, two as Atomic Shelter, and two singles, and the Atomsko Skloniste discography is over.Of course, there won`t be no compilations (two of them released). This one is the first single, from their first album, the most known song from the first LP.The strange thing is that this single is released retrogradely, with the flipside from the second album (??),and as well, one of the most known songs from the second LP.But,AS were strange in some kind of expressions,so this is no wonder.Enjoy.

Tracks:
01.Pomorac sam majko
02.Pakleni vozaci

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE - POMORAC SAM MAJKO , SINGLE 1979

VIS JUTRO (BiH) - Kad bih bio bijelo dugme , single 1973

With the previous post of KUD Idijoti`s ep,I will post today few 7 inchers,or if you like singles, which are still my favourite vinyl format.
This is not anymore a so big rarity, but for all of you who downloaded the Bijelo Dugme albums, here is the single of the pre-Bijelo Dugme band, before they changed the name into Bijelo Dugme. The band will be called later by the title song of this single. For collectors of ex-Yu stuff, this is stuff you cannot miss!My contributor Florijan ripped this single exclusively for this blog, thanx!
PS:I have to apologize,as the file contains the date of the release 1975,as actually it was 1973.

Tracks:
01.Kad bih bio bijelo dugme

02.U Subotu mala

VIS JUTRO - KAD BIH BIO BIJELO DUGME , SINGLE 1973

VATRENI POLJUBAC (BiH) - Zivio Rock `n` Roll , lp 1981

Heh,another vintage Hard Rock band from the ex-Yugoslavia,exactly from Sarajevo,Bosnia and Hercegovina. For the people of the Yu-language,the lyrics of this band are funny or stupid, anyway, the music is a pretty raw and strong Hard Rock, you surely can`t go wrong with this one.VP released cca 10 albums, but this one is pretty good, and it is again an album I bought in Sarajevo,I don`t have it anymore but I remember it was a pretty good album.Enjoy it.

Tracks:
01.Krv i znoj
02.Sad se vidi,sad se zna

VATRENI POLJUBAC - ZIVIO ROCK`N`ROLL , lp 1981

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE (Cro) - Criminal tango , lp 1990

I am boring to myself..I have to repeat one more time, this is an album I loved and still love a lot.We were all scared back in time, when Bruno Langer (bass, and from this album on,vocal) decided the band will continue without Sergio Blazic.Actually,Bruno remained alone, and continued the band with first 3 more members (and,I remember that show,it was pretty brilliant),and then with just two guys who are still today with Bruno,Ranko on guitar, and Nikica on drums.

L to R:Ranko,me and Nikica,Varazdin,June 28th,2006

I also remember the recording of this album, recorded in the studio of Radio Pula, and it lasted (if Bruno is honest) 10 hours. The production is (my opinion) very good, but a little thin. However,I remember also the first promo gig for this album (I have a short video cut of that gig on a VHS tape, and for a second you can see me,my brother and Beli from Anti-Otpad jumping and singing like crazy in front of the stage!!!I hope I will be able to transfer it and put it here.),the show was perfect. You see, this record means a lot to me,a lot of memories..but if you like Hard Rock made by AS,or if you collect their releases,then..you know..

Tracks:
01.Johnny II
02.Cocaine baby

ATOMSKO SKLONISTE - CRIMINAL TANGO , LP 1990

ATOMIC SHELTER (Cro/U.S.A.) - East Europe man , cd 1993

This is something I owe to a guy here, this one is for Maro. This is the last album from Bruno Langer,bass/vocal and leader of Atomsko Skloniste, this time in its American reincernation. In te 80s Atomsko Skloniste had few tries in the States, all of them through a guy from Pula who actually works in NASA.I will also post the other two albums, but I do this for Maro. This album is just old AS songs rearranged and rewritten in English,I am not fan of this album, but this one is also for all the collectors to complete your AS collection.
PS:The video is by the actual Croatian AS version.
