I have just one release of the late Atomsko Skloniste,two as Atomic Shelter,and two singles,and the Atomsko Skloniste discography is over.Of course,there won`t be no compilations (two of them released).This one is the first single,from their first album,the most known song from the first LP.The strange thing is that this single is released retrogradely,with the flipside from the second album (??),and as well,one of the most known songs from the second LP.But,AS were strange in some kind of expressions,so this is no wonder.Enjoy.
7 excellent bands,11 excellent tracks!I remember when I got in touch with it,Sale from KUD Idijoti got it from somebody (I think it was from Belgrade,from Gvido O.) and lend me this fantastic EP..I remember he almost forgot about it..but he didn`t,damn it..I was sooo into this EP that I recorded it on several tapes separately,just to make sure I will not loose it.You know,the gods MOB 47 and in this case RAW POWER,the phenomenal Funeral Oration and Psycho and Wretched..Quod Massacre and S.Malfunctions are here with tracks for which I am sure they surely have much better tracks,but well,in a whole this is a hell of an EP!Highly recommended!

With the previous post of KUD Idijoti`s ep,I will post today few 7 inchers,or if you like singles,which are still my favourite vinyl format. This is not anymore a so big rarity,but for all of you who downloaded the Bijelo Dugme albums,here is the single of the pre-Bijelo Dugme band,before they changed the name into Bijelo Dugme.The band will be called later by the title song of this single.For collectors of ex-Yu stuff,this is stuff you cannot miss!My contributor Florijan ripped this single exclusively for this blog,thanx! Now,with this one,you have them all.I mean,the Kud Idijoti`s EP`,you got all 4 of them.The first three were later released twice again,the first time as part of their first unofficial album "Bolivia Rock` N` Roll" (along with three songs from their 1986 demo),the second time on a compilation cd containing the three first unavailable and out of print EPs.KUD Idijoti are undoubtely the best Punk Rock band from this part of the world,and most important,the band that never weakened or changed their style.Get those legends from Pula.

I already had a post of this kind of music,and I remained extremely surprised when I saw that I am not the only one to like the Serbian Gypsy Music from Trumpet Orchestras,and even more,the previous post was among the most downloaded stuff on this blog!!!This is my favourite of all World Musics.So,this time we have ultimatively THE BEST OF THE BEST,the one and only Boban Markovic and his Trumpet Orchestra.Boban is acclaimed literally worldwide as the best worlds band of Gypsy music,and this cd is a kind of compilation of his early works.Recently,with The orchestra is called the Boban And Marko Markovic Orchestra,because his son Marko,also a trumpet virtuoso,joined his father in the band.If you liked the first cd+if you are no fucking nationalist+if you want to fill your drunken nights full of rakija with music for shake your body deliriously,this is what you need.Once you get hooked.. PS:This kind of music has its festival in a little west-serbian town called GUČA (read Goocha) by the beginning of August every year (this year is from Aug 6th to Aug 10th),it is 4-5 days of various orchestras playing this kind of music.There is also a movie called GUČA,released in 2006,and in the movie,of course,Marko Markovic is playing the leading role.I hope I will be able soon to bring you the soundtrack.

I cannot believe how much I am not aware of how much (good) bands exist in the region I live in..Varazdin and Cakovec and everything between and around is full of very good bands,and after Bad Blood,from Cakovec I bring you this great Hardcore band Youth Against,and their live recording from the club Mochvara from Zagreb,the most active underground club in Croatia,closing these days (thanx to Zagreb`s major Milan Bandic-S.O.B.).Well,at the Bitchfits gig I spoked with this guy on the pic,a very cool guy,and he told me about Youth Against,so here is this soundboard recording of a gig from year 2000.Very aggressive vocals and strong Hardcore.Recommended.

This demo here is a very good work from a Croatian Pagan Metal band.This is their only release and it is dated 2002,so even if I found the information that they are active,it is sure that there are no recordings after this one.Seems like the reason of their inactivity lays in the death of the ir bassist Amarth in 2005 (R.I.P.).And if you search for their site,you will find one where is written that the band is prepairing new material..unfortunately,it is written for year 2006..But this one is,for the moment,and for all who never listened to this band more than enough!Exquisit is the hidden Tiamat cover of The Sleeping Beauty!!

After Gruuthaagy,I decided to celebrate this day as day of noise and distortion,and add another post.This time is the very interesting and funny,but headache-bringing distortion-all-over one man band (again!) This is stuff I got from Mika of Hope,a compilation of works by Gruuthaagy,the cult one-man band whose member is KKTZ,legend of the Croatian underground.Gruuthaagy on this cd is (I am no expert in this kind of expression) presenting a compilation of works between 1992 and 2000.The stuff featured is,for my opinion,some kind of dark experimental noise,and I really hope Kukatz won`t be angry on my ignorancy in this. Or,even better,let Kukatz explain this cd himself (copy/pasted from gruuthaagy.tk website):

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!!!One of my world`s favourite Hardcore band EVER is back!!And they are ultrafast as they were 20 years ago,and still have the good old dirty highly distorted sound,and a hyperultrafast drummer...Man,this is a blast!!This is incredibly good stuff. Recently the vocalist Jugga left the band,so Ake took the vocals on the live shows,and as far as I know,they will play the Balkanika Core Fest in Kranj,Slovenia at the end of August..A must,a definite must.

I am trying to remember where did I bought this vinyl EP,but can`t remember,really..Anyway,I found this fine rip on the net,so it is one I really recommend to you.I know that beside of this one,Vellocet have also an album Captive Of Reality,I have it somewhere among my mp3s,but haven`t listened to it.While this EP is part of my intensive living through Thrash in the second part of the 80s.Vellocet were a metallized HC band,and this EP can surely satisfy Metalheads as well as Punks.Enjoy it.

Bad Blood are legends from Cakovec,a city near Varazdin (where I live).This is their first demo from 2000. and it is surprisingly good.To define what they play..well..It has elements of Thrash,Hardcore..The guys from the band call it Powercore.Anyway I hope you have a picture of what it is.The band is still active,they had the reunion show on October 2007 (watch the video down here!),and they will play on a festival in Cakovec on the 17th of May.Recommended!

This is a band that left a trace on me and especially on my band Devastation.This is a cult album,a very dirty and Punky Thrash Metal,and also some Doom influences (ie:part of No time and I want to die).The first track Armies Of The Dead (covered also by Devastation,and recently approved by John Alexander himself!) is one of the best album openers I have ever heard.Try it!If you are into old school,you must have this one! PS:This band in various line-ups had some musicians you might met before,as Seth Putnam (Anal Cunt) and Michelle Meldrum.

The second EP of the Pula`s most famous Punk Rock band (not in the bad meaning of the phrase!!) was a sound improvement for them,it is a little bit dirtier and directly raw,altough Kud Idijoti were still not what they will become later,a band that forces the "being as natural as possible",and that goes for the sound mainly.So,three new tracks,among them the legendary explosive Partisan song O Bella Ciao in Punk version.A must. PS:The singles (the first three mainly) are out of print,and almost extremely hard to find (hehe...you know what I mean..) PPS:No video for this single;I found this one with my brother Chriss on the drums!!!

Oh,yeah,another Serbian Thrash Metal band,in the beloved oldschool way.I got this from Roihlem (Thanx) and if you ask me,I never noticed this band back in time (well,the cassette/cd was released during the war years,during the total blockade of information from Serbia),but I am glad that documents like this one remained in time,and that we,collectors of such stuff can give it forward.So,oldschool bangers,stuff for your teeth. PS:I wrote "cassette" because this is a very fair cassette rip.
