To continue with the bands from Pula, here is one band of brief existence, and in their brief existence they released a cassette for the label Bonaca, KUD Idijoti`s boss Sale Veruda`s label.
This band is made by musicians from known underground bands (Pneumonia, FMD, Hatross) and they play this Stoner Rock/Grunge material, which is actually excellent even if the recording is a little bit lower quality (not that low anyway).Worth having it!And endless thanx to Florijan for this one!

LAUFER (Cro) - Demo 1993

This is a nice demo of one of the most exciting Croatian rock bands of the 90s, personally my absolute favourite live act.This here is their demo that preceeded their first album (easily findable here on this blog!), with three tracks of which only one used by the band in their further carreer, their greatest hit Budi Moja Voda.Despite a not that great quality of this recording, a collectable one for sure!

LAUFER - DEMO 1993

LAUFER (Cro) - Best off , cd 1994

Definitely,at least with this first album,the best band Croatia ever had since the independence (so,count from 1990.).Laufer were from Rijeka and came out more or less with the Grunge invasion,and very soon,they became on of the best bands in Croatia.Don`t get me by the word,Laufer are not completely Grunge,but if I have to put them into a style,then I would choose Grunge,not just because they appeared along with,but because a strong guitaristic expression by their guitarist Vava.I saw them live several times,they were incredibly explosive.Last year they reunited for a few shows,but that sucked,there were no magic that once was,and the vocalist Urban claimed that they reunited just to make some money on the old name (sic).However,Laufer are authors of the most beautiful Croatian ballad ever,the song Budi Moja Voda (even if Vava himself admitted that it has a little something from Always Somewhere by Scorpions...).An excellent album.

Allright,again sorry for not having any pic of this band,even they did some photosessions I remember,as soon as I get my hands on those pics,it will be posted.A strongly Alice In Chains/Stone Temple Pilots influenced band from Pula (of course),made by excellent musicians played at the Art And Music Festival competition in 1996,and not only that;they won it.So,what you have here are both the selection evening (18.05.) and the final,winning evening (19.05.) shows.I was there both days,and I must tell you that they were very impressive..try it.A good soundboard recording.
